We recently had the pleasure of working with skilled designers on a larger project to install a series of faux wood beams and custom wood matching trim, transforming a lovely living area into a truly captivating space.
The goal was to introduce the rustic elegance of exposed beams without the structural requirements of solid timber. For this project, we worked with a high-quality, off-the-shelf faux beam product. While these materials provide a fantastic starting point, achieving a seamless, custom look requires a level of artistry and precision that goes far beyond a simple installation.

Each beam was carefully measured, cut, and fitted to the unique contours of the ceiling. The real craft came in the seaming process, where individual pieces meet. This is where a good installation becomes great. Our focus was on creating nearly invisible joints, ensuring the beams appeared as single, solid pieces of wood stretching across the room. It’s this meticulous attention to detail that elevates the final result, creating a polished, high-end finish that looks entirely intentional and integrated.
We are so proud of how this project turned out, and the stunning photos speak for themselves. The room feels cozier, more grounded, and full of character.
While we were able to achieve a beautiful outcome with this method, the process highlighted the unique benefits of a fully custom approach. The extensive customization required for this project inspires our recommendation for future clients: let us build your beams from scratch.

Creating beams from raw lumber in our workshop allows for unparalleled control over size, finish, and fit. We can design them to perfectly match your home’s specific dimensions and style, eliminating seams entirely and ensuring a truly bespoke element that is crafted just for you.
Whether we are customizing a ready-made product or building from scratch, our passion is in the craft. It's about bringing a vision to life with skill, care, and an artist’s touch. These beams are a testament to how thoughtful details can completely transform a space, making a house feel even more like a home.
